Nova Reign doesn't separate the rap from the singing — she never has. Bars come in distorted and low, hooks come in sung and close to the mic, and the record moves between them without asking permission.
Raised on gospel choir and basement freestyle sessions in equal measure, Nova spent years writing for other artists before "Undertow" — originally a scrapped demo — leaked and became the reason Static & Silk exists at all.
"Static is what I sound like when I'm honest. Silk is what I sound like when I'm still figuring out how to say it."
The Nocturne Tour marks the first time the full album has been performed live front to back — sequenced exactly as the two sides were written, static bleeding into silk and back again.
